Performing the premiere of James O’Callaghan’s “Is Doubt a Way of Knowing?” for Innovations en Concert.
I’m re-learning Jocelyn Morlock’s alto flute piece, Velour, for an Aventa concert on Nov. 14, so it means late-night practise sessions in the gallery this month. Velour is a series of variations with the theme revealed at the end — this is Variation One (aka, the beginning of the piece).

Looking back, @queerarts festival 2022 was, among many things, an opportunity to justify the numerous late-night, online jacket purchases I made during the pandemic.
