I’m going to really miss this show. Senos de Hombre had its final day today at @queerarts SUM gallery: it was an exhibition that was cheeky, sexy, and fun while asking bigger, deeper questions about our bodies, our queerness, and our innate non-binary-ness. I’m deeply grateful to @ormo11, @laos__land, and @romeogomezlopez for trusting a complete stranger who visited @salonsilicon over a year ago, asking if they’d curate a show in Vancouver. And what a show they delivered: beautiful works by @_.alan_hernandez._ , @sandrablow.photo, @_karlfriasgarcia_ , and Romeo — plus a dildo-making workshop that folks here are still talking about.
It took an age, but my new album, Starts and Stops, has been released! New, brain-stretching music for flute and electronics by Keiko Devaux (@keiko_devaux), Yota Kobayashi (@formscapearts), Farshid Samandari (@samandarifarshid), Annette Brosin (@annettebosun), and Kimia Koochakzadeh-Yazdi (@kimiakoochakzadeh).
Last week in Toronto with the beautiful people. Thank you, @gregoryleenewsome, for inviting me to perform for @utnmf! It was a thrill to play, see old friends again, and finally meet Tanya Commisso irl! Also, a trip to Eataly on the final day, with Greg feigning amazement at the wheels of parmesan (thank you for humouring me).
